This proposal serves as the main pavilion for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. The foundational concept required a structure that could be easily assembled and disassembled, rooted in the principle of eco-friendly recycling. By repurposing discarded shipping containers to accommodate the necessary facilities, the design explores an innovative method of structural combination that not only celebrates the Olympics but also provides a striking backdrop for the historical moments of the Games. Ultimately, the pavilion embodies a design that integrates PyeongChang’s official emblem and identity, the Olympic spirit, and the enduring history of human cooperation.
