This project is inspired by an EBS Documentary project, which I worked on, to make music from new kinds of musical instruments. We started developing it at a small scale, designed initially for a small child, and then moved to large scale architectural project, which analyzed the details of existing instrument and turned it into the building facade. Urban string is located in Insadong, one of most busiest, highly trafficked narrow streets for sightseeing. The aim is to provide some lighthearted entertainment and experience for pedestrian passing by.
